iPhone 5 might have an increased screen size, but no retina display resolution iPhone 5 release date

The iPhone 4S was a bit of a bitter disappointment for hundreds of thousands of people around the globe as it was quite similar to the iPhone 4. Many were actually quite shocked that Apple would essentially rebrand the Apple iPhone 4 and present it as the iPhone 4S, as both phones had the same exact look. Only the A5 processor and the virtual assistant called Siri, made the iPhone 4S a little different from the Apple iPhone 4. Though the 4S has been selling quite well, there are thousands or even millions of Apple iPhone fanatics who are waiting on the release of the iPhone 5, that should hopefully come out in June or Fall of 2012. Below, you will find a quick summary of the specs, news and rumors that are being generated on the next generation iPhone, which is due to be launched for certain, in 2012. iPhone 5 news

iPhone 5 specifications (Expected)

It is now the 4G generation. 4G speeds, especially 4G LTE speeds, can result in D/L speeds of up to 32Mbps which makes 3G look like something that came out in the 1980's. So, it is only pretty obvious that Apple will or should include 4G LTE support in the next generation iPhone. Jobs was also very insistent about the 3.5 inch display as he felt that larger screens would mean less battery life. Compromised battery life just didn't fit into Job's idea of a iPhone as all of Apple's gadgets have been known for their above average battery life. According to him, the only solution to the problem would then be to increase the capacity of the battery although that will call for design modifications that are just not feasible, considering that Apple has always made some of the most stylish electronic products.

Another important problem that might prevent the iPhone 5 from getting a larger screen is that a larger screen might not allow Apple Inc. to incorporate it's high quality retina display resolution on a larger screen. The biggest hurdle for Apple to overcome, if it wants to use a bigger screen on the next iPhone is that it has to find out a way to keep the density of pixels at about 336 pixels per square inch (the famous retina display), if the iPhone 5 screen is going to keep the same resolution as the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S, both of which have retina display. Considering the fact that retina display is very difficult to use on a screen that is bigger than 3.5 inches, there is a pretty good chance that the next generation iPhone will keep the same 3.5 inch display that was used in the iPhone, iPhone 3G, 3GS, iPhone 4 and 4S.

When in 2012 will the iPhone 5 be released?

Apple have never been the type of company that has announced the release date of their products at an advance date. Due to this, we can only guesstimate the big release date or launch date for the next iPhone. There are a few who suggest that the iPhone 5 will be launched in June of 2012. But, what many fail to realize is that the summer release dates at Apple have traditionally been set aside for the iPad products. With the next generation iPad due to be released in summer of 2012, the launch of the iPhone 5 could be postponed to October of 2012.

Just about a month ago, we read a reputed blog that said that the next iPhone launch or release date has tentatively been decided as October 5, 2012. The date coincides with the first death anniversary of Jobs, suggesting that Apple Inc. have decided to release the iPhone 5 as a way to pay homage to its beloved founder. We agree that October 5, 2012 is the most likely launch date of the iPhone 5 as that date also merges with the traditional launch date of Apple gadgets in the fall, with Apple trying to put out a product just before the holiday season, where folks are most likely to spend about $300 or $400 on an Apple product.

What else can you look forward to seeing in the Apple iPhone 5?

Though the vast majority of Apple iPhone lovers are expecting a larger display and LTE speeds, there are also some Apple iPhone fans who want to see a faster processor and a brand new in the iPhone 5, when it is released. Some tech experts believe that the next generation iPhone is going to feature a revolutionary quad core A6 processor and an IOS6 operating system. However, the majority consensus is that the iPhone 5 will retain the same A5 processor that is used in the iPhone 4S.

Quite honestly, we think that a quad core engine is nothing but overkills for a mobile phone. If anything the clock speed of the existing A5 processor might be increased in the iPhone 5 model. Although the next iPhone's processor will remain the same as the one used in the iPhone 4S, we think that the OS will be updated to ios6 that will be able to handle extra capabilities such as NFC support, 3D camera capture mode, panoramic camera mode, facial unlocking and wireless data exchange between Apple devices and iPhones.
